Dining can be an awesome part of your Disney vacation experience and the chefs do a superb job of preparing delicious food. My own Disney crew not only adores the cuisine but also the fantastic presentation that keeps us coming back for more!
One of my favorite character meals is 'Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner' with the incredibly gracious hosts Prince Charming and Cinderella. The dinner is located at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian which can be reached on the Resort Monorail line.
The dining room is reminiscent of a 1800s world fair complete with carousel décor throughout the spacious dining room. The perfect setting for a reception with such noble characters!
Everyone in your party will have a ‘ball’ as honored guests of Prince Charming and Cinderella. They will also get the chance to mingle with other dignitaries such as the evil stepmother, Lady Tremaine, and her two socially awkward daughters, Anastasia and Drizella, which is the highlight of this dining experience! The entire cast stays in excellent character as they interact with each table.
Our littles had a blast playing with the characters but our guys were totally captivated by their ‘love’ games! The antagonistic Lady Tremaine chided our children into being proper before making her way to Papa Bear in search of a new husband. When that did not work, she encouraged Anastasia and Drizella to find new spouses from our band of married men. Thank goodness their efforts were to no avail!
All You Can Eat Buffet
The buffet will please the pallet of guests who have traveled far and wide to attend the grand reception! The eclectic menu items include such things as Heirloom Tomato Salad, Floridian Strawberry Soup, Mongolian Beef Stir Fry, ravioli, Japanese-style Green Beans, and a taco bar. Of course, our young crew loved the chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, and pizza. Make sure to save room for the delectable dessert bar with dozens of tempting treats! In the event of allergies, the chef is willing to walk the buffet line alongside guests.
There is not a photo pass opportunity inside the dining room so guests are encouraged to take their own photos. Our little girls loved dressing in their princess dresses for this dining experience because it feels like a grand ball! Encourage the children to feel included and participate by preparing comments/ questions for the characters as their interaction is incredibly entertaining and amazing. Dress nicely and have cameras ready!
The dining room also hosts the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast with none other than Mary Poppins, and the Wonderland Tea Party with Alice and her menagerie of characters. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 180 days in advance.
